Got my exhaust, pretty good

I ordered a SIP Performance exhaust for my Vespa P200E last month. It arrived pretty quick, like a week and a half, which was faster than I thought coming from overseas. Installation was straightforward enough, and it sounds way better than the old rusty one I had on there. Definitely feels like it gave the old girl a little more pep. Happy with how it worked out.

Decent experience, minor issue

I purchased a new SIP Speedometer and a set of LED headlights for my Vespa from them. The speedometer is great, looks really sharp and works well. The LED headlights are also a huge improvement over the stock ones. Shipping took about a week and a half, which was okay for an international order. My only small gripe was that one of the LED headlight wires was a tiny bit frayed at the connector when it arrived, but I was able to fix it easily enough with some electrical tape. Everything else was perfectly fine, and I'm happy with the performance of the parts. Just a little quality control snag there.

Good deal on some parts

I was looking for some Malossi tuning kits for my modern scooter and SIP had the best price I could find after checking a few places. I also grabbed some engine oil while I was at it. Shipping wasn't free, but the total price was still less than local shops or other online stores. Felt like I got a solid deal for what I paid. Everything arrived well-packaged too. Good value overall.

Fast shipping, good tire

Ordered a scooter tire. Arrived two days earlier than the tracking said. Fit my Vespa perfectly. Good quality tire.

Reliable for Lambretta parts

This isn't my first order from SIP, I've bought Lambretta spare parts from them a few times now, mainly gaskets and some clutch bits. They're consistently good. The parts always fit, and the descriptions on the website are accurate, which is a big help when you're working on an older bike. Shipping to the US usually takes about 10-12 days for me, which is expected for international. I keep coming back because I know I'll get what I need without any surprises. It's nice to have a go-to for these harder-to-find items. This time I got a new set of brake pads and an oil seal kit, all good as usual.

Hey, thinking about ordering some stuff for my Stella. How long does shipping usually take to get to California?

R Ryan Silva 2 months ago
Mine took about 2 weeks to get to LA last month. Not too bad for overseas.

Yeah, I've had orders arrive in 10-14 days on the west coast. Sometimes customs holds it up a bit, but usually pretty quick.

Are there any student discounts available? Or maybe club discounts for local scooter groups?

R Raj Brooks 2 months ago
I haven't heard about student discounts from them directly. For clubs, sometimes they do special dealer rates or bulk buys if you contact them, but not a general club discount code, afaik.

No student discount that I know of. For club stuff, it's usually a direct arrangement, not a publicly advertised discount.

Does anyone know if SIP parts are actually genuine, especially for vintage Vespas? Or are they mostly aftermarket stuff?

E Elena D. 2 months ago
They sell both. You'll find genuine Piaggio parts mixed in with their own SIP Performance line and other brands like Malossi. Just gotta read the description.

Most of the stuff I've bought for my P200 has been good quality, whether it was 'genuine' or a well-known aftermarket brand like BGM.

Anyone know if the newsletter signup discount applies to everything? Want to get a Malossi cylinder kit, and those are usually excluded from stuff.

E Emma 2 months ago
I think sometimes those higher-end tuning brands are excluded from general discounts. You'd have to try it at checkout or check the fine print on the newsletter code.

Yeah, some specific brands or big-ticket items often get excluded from those smaller percentage discounts. Malossi might be one of them.

do they have PayPal as a payment option? I'd rather not use my card directly.

K Kevin Doyle 2 months ago
Yeah, they do. I always pay with PayPal there, super easy.
